Auditions for the New Albany Symphony Orchestra’s 2016-2017 season will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 5475 Brand Road in Dublin, and Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at New Albany United Methodist Church, 20 Third Street in New Albany.
All strings, winds, brass, and percussion players are invited to audition for the New Albany Symphony Orchestra. However, the orchestra is particularly interested in applicants who play the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, and string bass.
To obtain audition requirements and schedule an audition, e-mail Bob Pfeifer at email@example.com or call (614) 733-0401. Please include the following information: instrument, years played, prior symphony experience, and name of private teacher, if applicable.
Student tuition is $350 for full members and $250 for Young Artists. This fee includes a pair of season tickets (a $130 value). We will offer several talent-based full scholarships and several need-based stipends. If you would like to apply for either of these please inquire by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
YOUNG ARTISTS PROGRAM
New Albany Symphony presents repertoire played by fully professional orchestras. Our most advanced students play NASO’s full repertoire. For less-experienced students, our Young Artist program is designed to allow them to experience real life orchestral performance while playing repertoire that is accessible to them. Each NASO concert will have at least one selection which will include our Young Artists.
