NASO Privacy Policy

The New Albany Symphony is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its online guests, donors, and friends. We do not collect personally identifiable information about individuals—such as their names and postal and/or e-mail addresses—except when it is knowingly provided.  The terms of this privacy policy shall govern all interactions with NASO through either NASO’s website or e-mail. A link to the privacy policy can be found on each of the pages of NASO’s website. By using the NASO’s website or communicating with NASO by e-mail, you agree and consent to the terms of this privacy policy.

Information Provided by Visitors
You may use NASO’s website without registering or submitting any personally identifiable information. However, in order to receive e-mail updates, donate money, register with us or purchase tickets you will be asked to provide certain information so we can process our request, which may include your name, postal address, e-mail address and other information. 

If you decide to join our e-mail list, you will be asked to provide only your e-mail address.  If you decide to donate money or purchase tickets, you will be redirected to Paypal’s secure site where you will be asked to provide your name, postal address, e-mail address, credit card information and/or Paypal log-in information.  For more information on how Paypal protects your personal and financial information, please visit Paypal’s Security Center:  Once you have donated or purchased tickets through Paypal, an e-mail is sent to NASO containing only your name, postal address and donation amount or ticket purchase.  No financial information is shared with NASO.  

Updating Your Information
If you opted to receive newsletters, other emails, or communications from NASO, but have changed your mind, you may opt out by replying to any e-mail and typing “unsubscribe” in the subject line.  Your request may take up to ten days to process.

When You Complete an Electronic Survey
NASO occasionally conducts surveys on its website or through e-mail. Your participation in these surveys is on a completely voluntary and anonymous basis unless we inform you otherwise. We use the information in the responses to the survey to understand our visitors better and to determine how best to serve them. Personally identifiable information collected in our surveys is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes (see Third-Party Service Providers).

How NASO Uses Information Provided by Visitors
NASO uses the information you provide to process donations, fulfill online ticket orders, and inform you of our upcoming events and other infromation concerning NASO.  NASO never shares with third parties any personally identifiable information you provide when purchasing tickets or making a donation online, through the mail, in person, or on the telephone, except as required by law. 

Information Collected Automatically--Cookies
This website automatically collects some non-personally identifiable information about you when you request pages through your browser. We place cookies on website visitors' computers to collect aggregate information for site traffic analysis, such as the number of visitors and the number of pages viewed. (Cookies are small files that reside in a visitor's browser.) The aggregate information we collect through cookies helps NASO monitor how you and other visitors use the site, allowing us to provide an optimal experience and better service; this information is never used to identify you personally. However, NASO’s website has been designed to provide full functionality without the use of cookies. You can set your web browser to reject cookies, but you will lose the ability to donate or purchase tickets online.

Children Under Thirteen Years of Age
This website is intended for general audiences.  We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under thirteen years of age.

E-mail Communications
NASO regularly sends e-mail newsletters to those visitors who choose to add their e-mail address to our mailing list.  E-mail recipients may always opt out of any e-mail category at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the e-mail message.

E-mailing NASO
NASO tries to respond to e-mail messages requiring a response within seven business days. We try to respond to customer service inquiries related to donations and ticket purchases within forty-eight hours. If you e-mail NASO, your message and e-mail address will be forwarded to the appropriate person. NASO may choose to save this information. Any message, material, business information, ideas, concepts, or other information sent to NASO by e-mail will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.

Third-Party Service Providers
NASO may engage reputable third-party vendors in order to help us manage our website and allow us to better service our visitors and customers. NASO requires its vendors by contract to maintain the confidentiality and security of NASO information to which they are provided access and restricts the vendors from using the information in any way not expressly authorized by NASO.  NASO’s site may contain links to other websites such as our third-party vendors and sponsors. Once you leave NASO’s website, this privacy policy will not apply.
